It’s nearly midnight, I have to wake up for work in five hours, and I just remember an idea I had years ago for a serial. I’m not even sure I got as far as developing an idea for the serial, what it would be about, the characters, none of that, but I thought it would be a cool thing to do. But it wasn’t just a normal serial. I wanted to learn how to draw and use Blender or some other software that would help create scenes and sets, because I wanted this serial to be akin to a dramatic audiobook. A video still.

It’s 2025, a new year, and I am yet again thinking of new ways I can build a writing routine, and for some reason, the idea of the serial came back to me. I first had this idea about five years ago. When I have an idea for a story or concept, I avoid consuming similar stories or videos because I don’t want my idea to be influenced by what I consumed, which is technically the opposite advice people give. So, I’m not even sure how this idea would work, but it’s something to think about. Considering the rise in AI, it’s likely much easier to create the art now compared to learning how to draw and definitely compared to learning Blender….Except, I’ve used AI before in character concept art creation and I must admit it’s not the most ethnic friendly. There has to be better AI software that’s not borderline racist.

…If I had to pick one of the stories on the back burner, there are two that could make good serials. Maybe three.
